Help change lives, six evenings a year.

We’re looking for a new Chair of our District Trustees.

Around our area almost every day of the year our volunteer leaders and helping young people aged 6-25 learn skills for life. But they’re not alone, supported by a district full of expertise to help them.

Making sure the district has everything it needs, that our young people are supported and our leaders prepared is our board of trustees, the executive committee. The District Chair helps run these six meetings a year, ensuring the rules are being met.

Training and Support

You’ll receive full training from the Scouts in what we need to do and the rules. Plus there is a whole host of experience from within the district and Hampshire Scouts including how to be an awesome chairperson.

You’ll be supported to get started by our Training Advisors based in the district and out District leadership through Team DC.

Time commitment

The trustees meet six times a year including an Annual General Meeting. At present, this takes place virtually through video conferencing but usually happens in one of our district HQs with good access to transport links.
